Globally, there are just over 10,000 Commercial Banks, 8,000 Family Offices, 4,300 Hedge Funds, circa 18,000 Private Equity Firms running tens of thousands of Private Equity Funds (each with differing investment parameters) and several hundred thousand to potentially several million Pension Schemes - all of these entities have funds to invest either directly or via other stakeholders.

The estimated value of the global bond market is circa £140 trillion.

There are currently about 380 million companies worldwide, 90% (342 million) of which are SMEs, providing 50% of all jobs worldwide. An estimated 65 million firms have unmet financing needs each year. We estimate 10 million of these 65 million firms with unmet financing needs are Medium Sized or larger Companies, employing circa 250 staff, with a turnover of circa £50 million or a balance sheet value of £50 million.
